Piano

Born in Cali Colombia, Carolina Calvache is an exceptional young artist who is recognized as the first female jazz pianist and composer from her native country that has an international career. Since her selection for the 2011 Mary Lou Williams Woman in Jazz Festival for outstanding artists, Carolina brought attention at The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Legendary pianist Toshiko Akiyoshi described her music as “Extraordinary and Marvelous”.

Carolina Teaches piano to all ages and levels at La Guardia Comunity College and  Bronx Music Center.

"My main interest is to make every student enjoy every piece of music they play. Every student has a unique different approach of learning and it is important to recognize his/her main musical  interest.
